An Encouraging Word

Do Not Fear

Posted on

2 Timothy 1:7 states, “God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind.”

As a believer in Christ, we have purpose and destiny to fulfill for our Father’s kingdom. For us to accomplish this task, we cannot be afraid.

We are going to look at the three things we as children of God should be walking in. The first thing is walking in power: Jesus stated to His disciples, after His resurrection from the dead, in Acts 1:8, “You shall receive power after the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be witnesses…” We ought to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, so we can be a witness for the Kingdom of God.

The second thing is to walk in God’s love, for He is love (1 John 4:8). Also 1 John 3:18 states, “…let us not love in word neither in tongue but, in deed and in truth.”

The third thing is having a sound mind. Philippians 2:5 states, “let this mind be found in you which was in Christ Jesus.” Jesus always stayed humble before the Father to use Him, even to the point of death. That is how we need to be as believers. Jesus was our great example on how we need to walk on this earth. So let us walk in boldness and not in fear. For we have the whole Kingdom of God backing us up. !!!
