An Encouraging Word

Faith in God

Posted on

Faith is an essential part of a believer's life. We should be walking in unlimited faith, for we serve an unlimited God. We are going to look at the story of the fig tree, which is in Mark 11:12-14; 20-26.

In Mark 11:12-14, we see Jesus, in front of HIs disciples, operating in this unlimited faith, by cursing the fig tree.

In Mark 11:20-24, Peter actually sees that the fig tree has withered from the roots. Expressing this to Jesus, He not being surprised by this, simply says, "Have faith in God ".

To really operate in unlimited faith, we cannot doubt, for doubt will hinder our faith. I want to throw something out there for you to think about. Where Jesus said, "......whosoever shall say to this mountain..... " Was He really talking about a physical mountain? or was He talking about life issues, being a mountain? - just food for thought. We have the capabilities, in Jesus Christ, to work this unlimited faith that is in us.

In Mark 11:25-26, Jesus doesn't want any ones faith to be hindered, so He expresses that we need to learn how to forgive, for if we don't, the Heavenly Father will not forgive us. Plus our faith will be hindered. So let us forgive, so our faith will continue to grow.
