An Encouraging Word

Go Bucks!

Posted on

I think there are a few powerful reminders about last night’s Ohio State Buckeyes win over the Oregon Ducks.

#1 – Leadership matters! Coach Meyer has taken that team in a short time to a national champion.

#2 – Depth of leadership counts, especially in your 3rd string quarterback. The whole team/organization won, but if they did not have a capable guy in the waiting, they would not have won their last 3, and most critical games.

#3 – That QB was ready as soon as he was asked to step up and contribute. There were not going to be any second chances.

It’s something to think about! Go Bucks.

Stand firm.

Thanks for these powerful reminders about the Buckeyes big win! I think another key factor in the Buckeyes' success was their resiliency in overcoming those four turnovers (even as the Oregon Ducks had no turnovers). Instead of crumbling from those mistakes, the Buckeyes stayed the course and kept to their game plan. Even their mistakes couldn't thwart their greater plan and purpose, and they were victorious in the end. Similarly, in life, when we keep our eyes on the Author and Perfector of our faith and His perfect plan for our lives, we can overcome trials and tribulations, by the grace of Jesus, and live victoriously in Him. Praise the Lord!
