Kindness is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5, urging the follower of Christ to stay in step (live by) the Spirit in order to manifest God’s good work in and through the follower. It is the kindness of the Lord that touches a life, impacts the soul and awakens the desire to know Him more. His kindness causes us to consider changing our ways through faith in Him. The wisdom of God is ever aware of mankind’s desire for change due to the brokenness of humanity because of sin. Therefore He (GOD), does not display His affection toward us based on our deeds, or the condition of our heart, it’s simply because He loves… One touch of God’s kindness echoes in the eternal soul of man.
Galatians 5 Common English Bible (CEB)
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against things like this. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the self with its passions and its desires. 25If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit. 26Let’s not become arrogant, make each other angry, or be jealous of each other.
Romans 2:4 Common English Bible (CEB)
4Or do you have contempt for the riches of God’s generosity, tolerance, and patience? Don’t you realize that God’s kindness is supposed to lead you to change your heart and life?
