Cincinnati
Programs
Since 1993, our
doors have been open providing safe havens to young children, young
male adults, and the homeless whereby they can have personal needs
met and hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. The goal in each of our
three inner city programs (The Lordıs Gym,
The Nicholas Hoyer SportsCenter and The
Lordıs Pantry) of Cincinnati, in Over-the-Rhine is to see changed
lives and the elimination of personal destructive behaviors. To attain
these goals we strive to build one-on-one relationships with children
and men and women and offer help through gym activities, counseling, prayer, Bible studies, and networking with other agencies.
The objectives
are to see improved performance in school, respect of authority, and
appreciation for other cultures/communities while learning to minimize
or avoid destructive situations. Another goal is to provide food,
clothing, and temporary rest to Cincinnatiıs homeless, prostitutes,
pimps and drug addicts with the objective of seeing them overcome
their addictive behaviors and lead a productive life.

"People here
care enough about us kids to give up time to come spend with us and
tell us about Jesus. And now we are deeper into the Word, leading
Bible studies and helping the younger kids. This is the place I call
home." - Robert J. Richardson, age 17. Lord's Gym member since 1993.
"My friend
Kyla told me she had been praying for me, and invited me to come to
The Lord's Gym. I met the Youth Pastor, and just loved the atmosphere.
My attitude has really improved since I've been coming. I've grown
closer to the Lord and have experienced Spiritual Gifts." - Nneka
Russell, age 18. Lord's Gym member since 1998.
