VISION STATEMENT: To see lives transformed by the truth and power of Jesus Christ
MISSION STATEMENT: We earnestly seek the transformation of lives in Over the Rhine and Haiti by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and, through discipleship and practical expressions of God's love, to open hearts to the work of the Holy Spirit. (Ref Luke 4:18-19)
1. The Scriptures - We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
2. One True God - We believe that there is only one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
3. Deity of Jesus - We believe in the deity of Jesus, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His personal future return to earth in power and glory to rule over all nations.
4. State of Man - We believe that since the fall of Adam, all people are lost sinners and cannot see the Kingdom of God except through regeneration by the Holy Spirit through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus.
5. Baptism in the Holy Spirit - We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is available to all believers who seek it and that it was the normal experience of New Testament Christians and that it brings an enduement of power for Christian life and service. We believe that speaking in other tongues is a consistent scriptural evidence of this baptism.
6. Sanctification - We believe that God calls believers to a life of true holiness. i.e. a separation from that which is evil and dedication to God.
7. The Church - We believe that the Church is the body of Christ and is comprised of all born again believers regardless of denominational or local church affiliation.
8. Christ's Commission - We believe that Christ has commissioned the Church to preach the gospel to all nations and to demonstrate this by service of compassion to the needs of people and by promoting righteousness and justice.
9. End Time Events - We believe in the second coming of Christ including the rapture of believers followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints. We also believe there will be a final judgment, with all people, dead or alive at the time, judged followed by "new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness."
1. We are an evangelical Christian organization. We are guided by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit and take seriously the Great Commission and the importance of discipleship for converts. We recognize God as the Supplier of all of our personal and ministry needs.
2. We place great value on local churches. We are not a church but a Para church ministry. We seek to strengthen indigenous churches and to get converts integrated into strong churches.
3. We have compassion for the poor and hurting people we serve.
4. We believe in and value people. We understand that transformation of lives is usually accomplished on an individual basis.
5. We consider personal and organization integrity as essential qualities. We seek to never compromise these qualities to achieve objectives.
6. We desire to demonstrate Christ like humility and meekness.
7. We are a team. We strive to lift up Jesus and decrease our personal objectives and glory.
8. We are partners with other ministries. We understand that we are appointed by God as a part of a matrix of ministries, which should work cooperatively to achieve what none could accomplish alone.
9. We are stewards of all resources God puts in our hand and we are indebted to the individuals, churches and organizations that provide funds for the ministry.
10. We strive to achieve excellence and quality in everything we do. We know that every aspect of the ministry requires the same emphasis on excellence.
