The
Lord's Gym
Since 1993, the
Lord's Gym has provided an opportunity
for men to grow spiritually, emotionally, and physically while pumping iron. Located at the corner
of Race and 12th Streets downtown, the Gym offers a variety of
weight lifting equipment and opportunities for Christian fellowship. Bible studies
take place three times per day and once on Friday evening. Because
the gym hosts on average 400 patrons each month, hundreds of people
have heard and responded to the gospel of Jesus. We have seen God
help men overcome their addiction problems and become productive people.
Bob Clarke, Director of Men's Ministries, and Jerry Dubose, Manager of The Lord's Gym, has made an impact in our men's programs especially
The Lordıs Gym. Just read some of the
recent testimonies, from some of The Lordıs Gymıs patrons.
"The Lordıs
Gym has taken me from a street thug who did all that he could to ignore
God, to a man who enjoys pleasing Him on a daily basis." A. J.
"I used to
doubt the power of God, but he showed up in my life. He proved to
me that He is real. I prayed on it and I just want to thank Him."
R. M.
"He helped
me stay out of the street and stay positive about life, stay off drugs,
and find new friends."R. P.
"The Lordıs
Gym is, and has been a blessing in my life. Itıs a sanctuary here
in Over-the-Rhine amongst the toils of life and the bondages of inner-city
life." J. F.
"When I was
a kid, I never had a problem with stuttering until I got into my late
20ıs and early 30ıs. Now, God has healed me from stuttering."

"Well God
has used the gym to bless me with good friends. To talk to in my time
of need, and I thank the Lord for that until the end of time."

Your financial
and prayer support is helping us to create an environment that God
can use to change destructive behavioral patterns though the power
of God's word and Holy Spirit.
Please consider
inviting a FOCAS representative to make a brief presentation at your
church, missions committee, Sunday school group, or home meeting.
Perhaps some of FOCAS's initiatives, such as our computer training
or cultural enrichment programs for inner-city children in Over-the-Rhine,
are in alignment with local business charitable gifts.
