USAID:
The U.S. Agency for International Development is the U.S. federal
government agency that implements America's foreign economic and humanitarian
assistance programs. In 1961, President John F. Kennedy signed the
Foreign Assistance Act into law and created by executive order USAID.
USAID is an independent federal government agency that receives overall
foreign policy guidance from the Secretary of State.

CCIH
The mission
of Christian Connections for International Health (CCIH) is to promote
international health and wholeness with a Christian perspective. CCIH
provides field-oriented information resources and a forum for discussion,
networking, and fellowship to the spectrum of Christian organizations
and individuals working in international health. CSTS The Child Survival
Technical Support Project (CSTS) assists private voluntary organizations
(PVOs) funded through the Office of Private and Voluntary Cooperation's
Child Survival Grants Program.
The
Core Group
The Child Survival Collaborations and Resources Group. The CORE Group
works to improve the health status of children and mothers in underserved
populations. It has 32 members which are Private Voluntary Organizations
(PVOs) that have been awarded Child Survival funds by the United States
Agency for International Development's (USAID) Office of Private and
Voluntary Cooperation in the Bureau of Humanitarian Response.

Haiti World/Hintel Focus is an enterprise whose objective is to provide
internet service throughout Haiti. Please visit this site out if you

IES:
The Institute of Environmental Sciences, of the Graduate School of
Miami University, was developed in 1969. The Institute houses one
of the oldest Master of Environmental Science (M.En) professional
degree programs in the United States. The program philosophy emphasizes
both a systematic and interdisciplinary approach to environmental
issues. The degree prepares students for work in public service, government,
education, and nonprofit environmental organizations. Students at
IES and university's Department of Geology are partnering with FOCAS
to conduct a water quality study in Haiti in July of 2002.
Global
Health Council (GHC) is a U.S. based nonprofit membership
organization that was created in 1972 to identify priority world health
problems and to report on them to the U.S. public, legislators, international
and domestic government agencies, academic institutions and the global
health community. The GHC mission is to promote better health around
the world by assisting all who work for improvement and equity in
global health to secure the information and resources they need to
work effectively.
